Growing up as somewhat of an exhibitionist and discovering the joys of sex were just two small things that contributed to Eddie’s trip to L.A. He first landed a gig as a Go Go Boy at Micky’s in West Hollywood, and having been asked back continued as a Go Go Boy until 2003 when his calling came in the shape of an exclusive deal with Rascal Video. In 2.5 years as a Rascal exclusive, Eddie made 14 movies, appeared in 3 books and was interviewed by T.V. and Radio across America. With a move back to Canada on the cards I caught up with him before he heads North.
What first made you want to get involved in the porn industry?
That’s quite hard to explain. For me, it was somewhat of a calling that was just pulling me in. It’s something I know I had to do and nothing was going to stop me from doing it. With that in mind, I flew to L.A. with a little amount of money in my pocket, knowing no one. It was a really risky move but I think it’s paid off well for me.
Who are your favorite porn stars, and are there any you’d like to work with?
My favorites are Johnny Hazzard, Jason Hawke & Jason Adonis, all of whom I’ve worked with. But someone I would like to work with is Francois Sagat!
How’s it different on camera compared to the comfort of your own bedroom?
When you’re in your own bedroom, you aren’t worried about angles, or facing the camera, or lighting. Sex on camera is hard work… that is, if you want it to look good!
Do your friends and relatives know you do porn?
All my friends know. People are always fascinated when they find out. Everyone always has questions and I love to answer them. My family doesn’t really know, but they suspect something is up. Let’s cross that bridge when it comes to it.
If you weren’t working in the porn industry what do you think you would be doing?
I will always be part of the porn industry in some way, but I have a lot of interests. Currently I am working with my husband, Shaun Proulx, on our family of websites, including GayGuideToronto.com where I also have a blog!
Are you worried about the implications your role currently could have in the future?
Absolutely not! My god, if I worried about what other people thought of my actions, or how it might one day implicate my future, I’d never do anything! I follow my bliss selfishly!
What can we expect from you in the future?
I do! I’m in the process of creating a new dildo. (My husband isn’t convinced the current one I have “feels” enough like me). I’m writing a book based on my life, experiences, lessons learned and sexual escapades! And I am beginning a project as host of a porn entertainment show on Canada’s HardTV.
